Sx: fever, various types of bleeding (including vomiting of blood, nosebleed, blood in the stool or urine, and rashes), black and tarry stools, abdominal distention and fullness, thirst with an inability to swallow. some patients become delirious. T: scarlet tongue with prickles. P: thin, rapid pulse.
