At the junction of the ulna and carpal bones, in the depression lateral to the tendon of the extensor digitorum communis.
Oblique proximal insertion 0.3 -0.5 cun

Contraindications and Cautions


Functions

San Jiao/Triple Heater,
Yuan Source point, receives Lo vessel from PC-6.

Dissipates wind and drains heat from the head (Upper Jiao)
Strengthens the MJ, Low energy
Promotes the transformation of fluid (dampness, urinary problems, menstrual problems) (Lower jiao)
Strengthens Yuan Qi
Brings fluids to tendons and muscles
