Location and Needling:
On posterior border of tibia, 5 cun above the prominence of the medial malleolus, in a depression.
0.5-1 cun perpendicular
Contraindications and Cautions
Functions
Liver,
Lo Connecting Point, sends vessel to Yuan Source point, Gb-40.
Passage point between the LV and GB. (tonifying transfers the excess from the GB meridian into the emptiness of the LV; dispersing does the opposite).
Promotes the flow of LV Qi and benefits the genitals (Disperses this point if the channel is Yang, the scrotum is stiff and the penis erect, Tonify this point if the channel is Yin, and the patient has pruritis of the scrotum).
Drains dampness in the LJ
Regulates menstruation
Treats plum-pit qi.
