Below anterior tip of 11th rib in the midaxillary line. Or, on anterior axillary line at level 2 cun above umbilicus, or, located where the tip of the elbow touches.
Transverse or oblique insertion medially or laterally 0.5- 1 cun

Contraindications and Cautions


Functions

Liver,
Front-Mu point of SP.
Influential point of five Zhang organs.

Intersection point with GB principal meridian. Reunion point with curious meridian Dai Mai.

Harmonizes LV and SP, Tonifies SP (poor appetite, irregular bowel movements), Circulate LV qi (LV overacting on SP, hypochondriac pain)
Scatters cold of 5 Yin organs,
Reduces mucous and congealed Blood in local area, warms SP.
